Jean Harlow's grave site is in the beautiful
and very private Sanctuary of Benediction in the Great Mausoleum at Forest
Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.

Entrance to the
Great Mausoleum |
Upon Jean's death on June 7, 1937, her
mother maneuvered William Powell into paying for her interment in a private
marble room with three crypts. Years later, Jean Harlow Bello was
buried in another of the crypts next to her daughter. It had been
supposed that the third was reserved for Powell, but he was buried instead
at Palm Springs. |
In November 2004, a relative visited Forest
Lawn. Upon providing documentation covering five generations that
proved the family relationship, she was allowed into the Mausoleum.
She took these photographs and has very kindly allowed their publication
here. |

Barely visible on the wall above the bowl
